Save64.org is gearing up for our first “petition presentations” this week.

What do you need to do?
==> If at all possible, deliver your signed petition pages to the Kroger Customer Service Counter by EOD Wednesday, June 3

==> If you can’t get make it by Wednesday, try for EOD Thursday, June 4

==> Write workon64@aol.com if these days/times don’t work…we’ll figure it out. Just don’t throw out those signed pages!

THANK YOU EVERYONE IN THE APEX/CARY COMMUNITY! Our petition drive continues to be very successful, and we couldn’t have done it without your help.

More to come later this week!
Your Save64.org volunteers

I wish that I could sign an online petition…I went to the NCDOT website and left my opinion there.
It seems as though this project has not be widely discussed in the media, or am I missing something?
How can the DOT afford this project???? Better question is how can we?

It is amazing how little notice is available to those of us directly impacted by this project. We received one “brochure” in the mail when the project was first brought to the public’s attention. Had I not returned from vacation and looked through the News and Observer I would never had known about the meeting on July 16th. Thank you N&O for the banner notice regarding Bruce Siceloff’s blog. This is the first I have heard about the “Save 64″ site. It seems that it is up to us to dig out any information on this whether meetings are attended or not. This same lack of information occured when 64 became a 4 lane highway. (as well as the same reasoning for this project; “to help traffic flow”)
